Happy 15th Month

I am 15th month old today ... you have heard many many times already and I am sure you know what I am going to say. I still can't walk independently !!! Nothing major, at 15th month, I am now 11.7kg and 81.4cm tall. Started to walk a little holding Mummy's hands.

For those who do not know yet, we are going back to Singapore for good in Sep, just in time for the Singapore F1 Grand Prix !!! How exciting !

Daddy is busy selling all the things at home, my dear bicycle is gone already. Daddy now carry me to school walking .... more than 1km each way. On the way, sometimes I get to play at the playground while Daddy take a rest.

My first Hanabi (fireworks)

Last Sat, Daddy brought me to see my first fireworks at the river near our house.

Watching it over Daddy's shoulder.

2 kitty cats !

Smiley face !
Just some of the funny ones, Mummy managed to capture.

And a super short video of one part of the fireworks. We didn't stay for the whole thing as I wasn't feeling well, and Mummy was afraid of the returning crowd.

I love vehicles

Does everyone understand my baby english ?

My First Public Bus Ride

After the Ion Orchard shopping trip, Mummy and I took a bus home. My first public bus ride. Bus in Singapore are pretty cool, where you can push the pram up the bus. There is a wheelchair area to park your pram. See the sign board even say "Please wait for Bus Captain to assist you in alighting". Guess that message is for wheelchair rather than pram.

And my 8th time on a plane ride !!

I am getting too big for the bassinet, with legs sticking out. The stewardess always have a question mark look when Mummy said I am 10kg, obviously they know Mummy is lying.

Back in Japan

I am now back in Japan after my 1 week trip to Singapore. This is my 2nd time back to Singapore and I still have not visit the famous Singapore Zoo. Daddy and Mummy were too busy with their stuff to bring me out to play. I will have a lots of chances coming anyway.

Here's some the pictures from Singapore. As you know from previous post, 9th Aug is Singapore National Day. Me proudly waving the flag.

Ion Orchard is the latest shopping mall in Singapore. This was the only "tourist" place we went.

Japanese food is the "IN" thing now in Singapore. Check out all these places and they are all in Ion Orchard.
Gintako with only takoyaki without the taiyaki !

Royce chocolate that looks like a jewellery boutique !

This shop sell Japanese Omiyage, but they seems to be those not so famous omiyage.

Some special Negi Natto ??? .... cost a whopping S$9.90 (Y650) !!!

Watami too !

Ramen !!

More ramen .. price are about $12 (Y780) same as Japan. But Waton mee at Hawker center cost $2.50 only.

Sushi ..normal ..

Hmm .. Crepe.

JTB

and the latest fashion craze UNIQLO !!! Never see the UNIQLO in Japan with a katakana signboard. They are definitely more expensive than Japan's.

Looks like I don't have to miss my Japanese goodies when I am back in Singapore.

Majulah Singapura

9th of August is Singapore National Day. I am now in Singapore celebrating her 44th birthday. Here's Singapore National Anthem.

Just for curiousity, this is Japan's National Anthem, err you don't have to listen to all ... Mummy think it might be good for my bedtime music.

Watermelon of Japan

Is summer time and is watermelon time in Japan. Fruits in Japan are so expensive, an average size watermelon here cost about Y2,000 (S$30). $30 you can get a lorry of watermelonssss ... err maybe in Malaysia ... ok is still exaggerating a little, just to let you feel watermelons are dammm expensive here.

Watermelon that you can easily hold on your palm (this is Mummy's smaller palm not Daddy's). This is not your average size watermelon, is a tiny watermelon. Well, since the size is tiny the price is also a little tiny too ... but still it cost about Y500 ($8). Oh you can buy 2 huge watermelons in Singapore with size add up to be 10 times bigger than this tiny little one here. Again just to show how expensive it is !

But watermelon in Singapore is like eating a box of chocolate, you never know what you get. You can pay cheap for a huge watermelon but sometimes turn out bad. Japan is the quality country, you always know what you get, they even state the sweetness of the fruit. A tiny juicy watermelon with skin that is like 3mm thick only, while the ones in Singapore are like 3cm thick.

Saw this humongous watermelon at the supermaket, which is bigger than ME. Those in the background are the normal big watermelon, so this is like 6 times the size of regular ones. No price stated. Ok so much for watermelons ... boring right ? haha...

My first visit to the dentist

I only have 6 teeth and the 7th is coming out, plus my teeth are brand new. WHY do I need to go to dentist ??!!! Japanese loves to go to dentist, there are dental clinic at every corner of the street and going to dentist is pretty cheap for normal checkup.

Today, Mummy and Daddy went to dentist to have their checkup, so they brought me along for my first dental checkup for my miserable 6 teeth.

Let me read some books while waiting for Daddy to finished his checkup. His teeth have the most problem, took so much time.

Finally on the scary chair. Although the dentist is a pretty lady, I am still scared. After all the complains Mummy and Daddy told the dentist that I always refuse to let Mummy brush my teeth, they worry I have worms in my mouth etc..... The dentist forced my mouth open and poke inside my mouth while I cried madly in protest. She brushed my teeth and put some protection coating on my teeth and concluded my teeth are ok.

I decided I better be a good boy and let Mummy brush my teeth properly cos I don't want to go dentist any more.
