Milk Milk Milk

Right after I turn 1 year old, school stopped giving me milk. On the very first day teacher stopped my milk, I screamed and cry whenever I saw other kids have milk and I have none ! Daddy was so sad when he heard that and quickly went to buy a big tin of formula milk for me, the exact same brand as school's. These few days, I started to have extra milk at home, milk for breakfast, tea break and before I sleep. On top of formula milk, Mummy also bought cow milk for me and I am also still drinking Mummy's milk. BURP Moooo !!!

The Birthday Finale

Yes yes, I know I know you are sick of my non-stop birthday, my 1st year blog for the last 2 weeks. Ok I promise this will be the last birthday blog for 2009, next time will be my 2nd birthday in 2010.

Today is finally my actual birthday, Mummy and Daddy played a little game with me to determine my future. It was a really tough decision, I took some time to decide. Here you go ... I think they are very happy with my choice.

This little game is known as 抓周 in chinese. I think Japanese also play this game on babies 1st birthday. Mummy and Daddy kind of play cheat, they only give me the choice which they hope my future will be.

My First Year

My growth throughout the year. Over the 1 year, I grew 24.6cm taller and 7.3kg heavier. However, my hair only grew 2mm longer !!! Any hair tonic for baby ??

My 1st Birthday Party

I had my 1st first birthday party today. I wanted to invite all of you to my party, but due to the swine flu in Japan, my teacher said we should avoid mass gathering. Thus, no real party.

Mummy and Daddy decided to celebrate my birthday in advance to prevent the same sleepy incident which happened on my chinese birthday. After I woke up from my afternoon nap, the party started with 3 people attending, Mummy, Daddy and Grandmama (via skype).

Weekend Breakfast

On weekdays when I have to go to school, breakfast are done in a rush. Mummy will feed me cereal if we have enough time. When time are tight, I will get bread tear into pieces placed on my table, Mummy and Daddy expect me to eat by myself while they do their stuff.

Weekend breakfast are different, I will have yogurt, cheese, milk etc. Check out my breakfast from last Sat.

I've got rabbit, elephant, bear, boat, plane and a car for breakfast !

Shopping Cart

Since I am a big boy already, Mummy allow me to sit in the car car shopping cart whenever we go to the drug store to shop for my supplies.

Mummy Mummy, I don't want Hello Kitty car, can I have Anpanman instead ? Huh ... No more, ok ok ... Hello Kitty will do .. but don't let my classmates see me in Hello Kitty car, too girly.

Here we are the baby section. Hmmm... no need milk powder, I got free milk from Mummy.

I am 2 !!!

I am 2 years old before I turn 1 year old !!! Sound confusing ?? I am confused too. Mummy said is my Chinese birthday today and in Chinese they add 1 more year to your original age, cos you are considered as 1 year old when you are born.

I am still confused about the 2 year old explanation.

Mother's Day

Last Saturday was sunny and warm, Daddy brought me out on his weekend grocery trip. I decided to see what I can get for Mummy for Mother's Day !

Let's go shopping in my orange bike with my matching orange bib and orange hat !

Hmm... so many things don't know what Mummy will like.

Posters everywhere reminding me about Mother's Day ... maybe she wants another umbrella ?

Hmmm... don't know if Mummy wants a windmill ? But I really want to have one ... maybe she will share with me and let me play with it !

Lollipop looks good too !! I can eat too ...

In the end, I have no idea what to get for Mummy. I asked Mummy to bake herself her favorite chocolate cake. Happy Mother's Day to my Mummy, Grandmama, Por Por and all my aunties !! This virtual cake is for all of you !

Land of Instant Noodles

Japan is the Land of Instant Noodle... Yeah (clap, clap) got so many, Myojo Char Mee from Spore, Korean Spicy Noodle and Taiwan Mee Sua. When you are in Japan, you will only wish for anything but Japanese products. We do not have Japanese instant noodles at home !!!

Hmm ... which one should I take ? Oh this is spicy noodle ... cannot.

Huh .. ALL cannot take huh ?

Sighz ... thought I can eat something different from the same boring porridge that Mummy cook everyday.

こどもの日 (Children's Day)

5th of May is Children's Day in Japan. Although is Children's Day, but is actually more of a Boy's Day. On this day, in household where there are boy(s), the family will display 鯉のぼり (Koinobori-flying koi). Since this is the first year, I am celebrating Boy's Day, Mummy wanted to get a koinobori for me, but she was too busy to shop for one. I did have one in the end...

My Koinobori .....

The smallest in whole Japan and 1 Koi is missing !!! There are suppose to be 3 Kois, Papa Koi, Mama Koi and Baby Koi.

Koinobori made by my teachers ! Ehh... how come teacher also made 2 Kois only ??

Anyway, on this day. Auntie Ena invited us to her house. We had red bean rice, the must have food on children's day. It was rain heavily on that day, we didn't get to go see the giant Koinobori near her house.
